Burger King's Halloween Soda Comes With a Straw You Eat

Burger King made a Halloween soda where the straw is part of the meal, and I need more restaurants thinking like this.

It is called the Vampire's Bite. You get Sprite mixed with strawberry flavored syrup, so it pours pink and drinks sweet with a sour edge. Solid enough on its own. Then they hand you the real reason we are here: a Sour Punch Sip-n-Chew straw. It is a hollow piece of sour candy. You drink through it, then you eat it.

That is the whole pitch and it does not need anything else. No app game, no collectible cup lineup, just a straw that refuses to be trash. Plastic straws went out, paper straws fall apart in your drink like they are giving up, and Burger King skipped the whole debate by making the straw dessert.

The Vampire's Bite started October 6 at participating restaurants and it is only around for a limited time, so the straw has an expiration date in every sense. Get it while Halloween season is still running. Sip first, chew second, and if anyone at your table throws their straw away untouched, that is a person who does not read instructions.
