Stoner's Pizza Joint Made a Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza You Carve Yourself

Most Halloween pizzas lean on toppings to do the costume work. Stoner's Pizza Joint went bigger and changed the shape of the whole pie.

The Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza runs October 19 through October 31, built on the chain's flatbread with pepperoni on top and meatballs placed as the eyes, so the finished pie looks back at you like a jack-o-lantern. The best detail is how it arrives: uncut. You carve your own slices, same as you would a pumpkin, only this carving ends with dinner instead of seeds all over the kitchen.

Rewards members also get 31 bonus points when they buy one between October 19 and October 25, a nod to the Halloween date during National Pizza Month. You can order it online, through the app, or in the store, and it stays on the menu right through Halloween night.

A shaped pizza lives or dies on whether it still eats like a real pizza once the photo is taken. Flatbread with pepperoni and meatballs is a safe, crowd friendly build, so this one has a real shot at being more than a gimmick. Worst case, you still get to say you carved a pizza.
