KFC Made a Savory Cereal and Yes, You Pour Gravy on It

KFC just dropped its weirdest mashup yet, and I do not say that lightly for a company that has done fried chicken scented candles. They launched KFCereal, a savory breakfast cereal flavored with their 11 herbs and spices, made with a brand called SURREAL. It went on sale online September 22 for £6 a box, while supplies last.

Here is the part that broke the internet. Instead of milk, you pour a hot cup of KFC gravy over it. A savory, crunchy, herbed cereal swimming in gravy for breakfast. Reactions ranged from "just ordered" to "this makes me feel physically sick" to one shopper who said they would rather rub salt in their eyes.

I get why KFC did this. Gravy fans are a devoted people. But breakfast is a sacred, fragile time of day. Pouring chicken gravy over cereal is the kind of idea that sounds like it was dreamed up at 3 AM after a long night, except they actually manufactured it and put a price on it.
