Buldak Fans Just Broke a Guinness World Record by Eating Noodles on TikTok

There is now a Guinness World Record for "most videos of people eating instant noodles uploaded to TikTok in one hour," and it belongs to Buldak fans, because of course it does.

On October 1, from 5 to 6 PM Pacific, Buldak called on its fanbase to film themselves eating the famous fire noodles and upload it to TikTok within the hour. They brought in the Stokes Twins to hype it up, which was a smart move, because those two have broken records before and know how to get the internet to act a fool on command.

When the hour ended, the videos went into official Guinness review. At 9:27 PM Pacific, the judge confirmed it: 335 qualifying videos, a new record. College campuses got in on it. Fan parties with Buldak swag and music. Over 300 bowls of noodles enjoyed in one hour, which I am going to guess cleared out a few sinuses on campuses nationwide.

This is a fandom that spent a decade voluntarily filming itself eating the spiciest noodles on Earth for the Fire Noodle Challenge. Asking them to do it one more time for a world record was honestly the easiest recruiting job in history.
