Burger King's New Game Day Pretzel Burger Puts Nacho Cheese on Everything

Burger King just announced a limited-time Game Day menu, and the headliner is doing the most. The Game Day Pretzel Burger is a flame-grilled quarter-pound patty with American cheese, crispy bacon, crispy onions, and nacho cheese sauce, all stacked on a warm SUPERPRETZEL soft pretzel bun. That's two cheeses and a pretzel bun on one burger, which is not a sandwich so much as a tailgate in sandwich form.

It is joined by Chicken Fries with Nacho Cheese Sauce for dipping, which feels like BK finally admitting the fries were always a vehicle for the sauce. There is also a four-week Royal Perks sweepstakes with weekly cash prizes up to five thousand dollars and BK-branded mini coolers, because apparently the burger alone wasn't enough reason to show up.

The menu launches with the sweepstakes starting October 6. Between this and everything else dropping this month, fast food is officially in its fall experimental era. And honestly? A pretzel bun burger with nacho cheese is exactly the kind of beautiful, reckless decision football season deserves.
